In the
current circumstances of the pandemic, virtually everyone should take
precautions for themselves and others, and stay at home whenever possible. By
resorting to such measures, many people began to use their gadgets, and in
particular social networks, more often than usual to entertain themselves in
difficult times of self-isolation. However, such spending time can have a
negative effect on the human body as a whole, which is what the article below
tells about.
The
article indicates that there are harmful consequences for a person's mental
health with regular viewing of the feed of social networks. Such actions can
potentially lead to anxiety, depression, addiction, and other psychological
disorders. But here are a few cases that occurred this year during the
quarantine period:
The
article also mentions information overload, but it is mentioned in the context
of a pandemic. For example, negative news can negatively affect your mental
state, because we ourselves may face, for example, restrictions due to the
coronavirus (closure of many establishments, the bankruptcy of numerous businesses,
curfews, and others). Therefore, it would be nice to limit yourself from
unnecessary, negative, and garbage information in order to prevent all negative
consequences. Since this topic is the topic of my blog, I considered it
important to show this article for the reason that at the end there are several
ways to self-restrict to minimize negative and unnecessarily entertaining
content.
Hi:) I think that the topic of this post and the whole blog is current and important because of the pandemic all people face these kinds of problems. Personally, I have noticed that during pandemic my sleep cycle changed, because of how I started to use technology and social media at different times and more often. I started going to sleep very late because I always lost track of time when checking the internet before I go to sleep. The consequences are that I am always tired during the whole day, my productivity is reduced, and often I have strange dreams connected to what I saw on the internet. Therefore, I consider knowing the effect of media overuse as very important.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading this post.
