Excessive consumption of media content

In the last century, the media space has noticeably expanded its boundaries, and now almost everyone has the opportunity to go online and read everything about everything and everyone, without making any special efforts. However, along with easy access to a huge amount of data, technological progress has brought negative things to people's lives.

The thing is that people do not notice that they are receiving a colossal amount of information, most of which is pure rubbish that has absolutely no value and will never be used in the life of a consumer. Thus, the brain of a modern person becomes overloaded with useless information, and there may often be no place for practical knowledge.

To a large extent, this state of affairs was facilitated by the popularization of social networks. Apps like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and the like are mostly composed of entertainment content that is simple in itself and doesn't require any effort to understand. Such content is interesting to a huge number of people mainly because of its simplicity and fun, and therefore such applications have become the giants of our time.

In my opinion, this problem is very serious in the modern world, since the amount of created and consumed content is only growing every day. Unfortunately, only a small number of people think about what content they consume and in what quantity. Therefore, this article was created so that people who read it think about the regulation of the content they consume.
